Since the team’s inception in 1933, the Steelers have called four stadiums home - Forbes Field, Pitt Stadium, Three Rivers Stadium and now Heinz Field. Opening in 2011, Heinz Field seats 65,000 fans and features a natural turf field with an extensive underground heating system to keep the playing surface from freezing during the brutal Pittsburgh winters.
